copy machine maintenanceIn addition to copy machine repairs and service, Dean Office Solutions also specializes in copy machine maintenance. Even when a copier isn’t necessarily broken or malfunctioning, it still needs attention every so often.

You can have your copy machine maintenance taken care of in a couple of ways. Most of our customers, especially customers on a lease, have a service contact. A service contract includes not only maintenance and repair, but it can also include supplies.

That’s one way to make sure your copy machine maintenance is in good hands. However, even though service contracts are a tremendous value, occasionally we get customers who say they don’t believe in service contracts. Those customers prefer to pay for everything on a time and materials basis, and we’re happy to accommodate those needs as well.

When customers not on a service contract require maintenance or repairs, they will pay an hourly rate for the service call and also pay for any parts needed. That’s one way of going about it, but in the end it almost always ends up costing more out of pocket than it would have on a service contact.

Copy Machine Maintenance – Our Solutions

The thing about copiers is that eventually all machines require maintenance, even if it’s just something simple such as doing a developer change, or changing the drum, or adjusting the rollers if the machine is jamming. If your machine isn’t used much, it will still need to be maintained to some extent throughout its lifespan.

With that being said, we offer several copy machine maintenance solutions that will keep your machine running at top performance at the lowest cost to you.

Our copy machine maintenance solutions are as follows:

  • Silver Service Contract: Covers the cost of labor only, does not cover cost of supplies and parts.
  • Gold Service Contract: Covers the cost of labor as well as toner.
  • Platinum Service Contract: Covers the cost of labor, toner, and any parts you may need to keep the machine running.

There’s one caveat here, which is the fact that platinum service contracts can only be offered on new machines acquired from us, or a used machine that we have personally maintained over a period of time. The reason for that is because if the machine was not ours we don’t know how well it has been maintained, or if parts have been replaced when they should have been, and so on.

We can, however, offer gold and silver service contacts no matter what the situation may be or where the unit was acquired from. In very specific circumstances we can also offer a cost per copy plan where you pay a small fee with each copy you make that essentially covers the cost of everything. You can read all the details about our cost per copy plan here.
